AIChE Community of Process Engineers — Interest Form


Process Engineers are as unique as the diverse fields they serve. You bring your own honed judgement to diverse plants to solve process problems. AIChE invites you to join an online discussion group, a community of process engineers that values good engineering practice to define problems and come up with solutions. We want to gather process engineers working in various fields for technical and practical discussions.


Discussion Community Purpose

In this community, we hope to discuss topics such as career paths of process engineers, top skills of process engineers, computational fluid dynamics, process control parameters, safety, piping and instrumentation diagrams and much more.


Privacy & Code of Conduct

Anyone who would like to be a part of the community will need to complete this form and abide by AIChE Engage's Code of Conduct. Violation of the code of conduct will result in being removed from the community.


Who Should Join?

This discussion community is open to former and current professional Process Engineers (including graduate students and young professionals), as well as those in related professions. The community is currently not open to undergraduate student members.

Engineers (or operations supervisors or operations foremen) involved in any process intensive industry, including:

  • petrochemicals
  • crude oil refining
  • crude oil and natural gas production
  • bulk chemicals
  • pharma
  • pulp and paper
  • food
  • or any process intensive industry.
